{"id":52321,"date":"2019-10-01T09:06:51","date_gmt":"2019-10-01T14:06:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.motivationminceur.ca\/?p=52321"},"modified":"2024-01-10T15:20:46","modified_gmt":"2024-01-10T19:20:46","slug":"fake-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.motivationminceur.ca\/en\/fake-news\/","title":{"rendered":"Fake news!"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Fake news!<\/h1>\n<p>Recently, I had the pleasure of giving a conference and what came out was that 90% of the people in attendance were concerned about their weight, had already followed several diets and were mostly uninformed about their condition.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, most participants were desperate to succeed one day.<\/p>\n<p><strong>First misinformation:<\/strong><br \/>\nDiets do not work. It&#8217;s absolutely false.<br \/>\nIf you create a calorie deficit by eating less than you burn, you will lose weight. There is no exception to this rule.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Second misinformation:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe YOYO effect is bad for your health. Still FALSE.<br \/>\nThere is 24% less mortality among those who regain multiple diets than those who agree to stay overweight.<br \/>\nBy thinking about it, it makes sense. Eating better for 6 months is better than eating badly for 12 months.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Third disinformation:<\/strong><br \/>\nFat is the enemy of the overweight person. Really FALSE.<br \/>\nIt is sugar that is the number one enemy. It is responsible for cravings associated with low blood sugar (reaction hypoglycemia). It affects more than 80% of overweight people. Moderation has a better taste.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fourth misinformation:<\/strong><br \/>\nIt is better to lose weight slowly. FALSE, FALSE, FALSE.<br \/>\nRecent research shows that it is the rapid changes in weight, eating habits and weekly monitoring that predict successful weight loss. Slow changes predict weight gain. It&#8217;s scientifically proven.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fifth disinformation:<\/strong><br \/>\nMaintaining lost weight is impossible. Very wrong.<br \/>\nThe key to success with more than 80% of the lost weight maintained, several years later, is a monthly follow-up, while doing the Mental Weight Questionnaire to stay aware and motivated.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, we are in a society of misinformation.<\/p>\n<p>It remains for you to choose the right information to be well motivated.<\/p>\n<p>Maurice Larocque<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fake news!
